How can fat be released from its storage depot?

To mobilize fat stores, recent studies have highlighted the effect of epigallocatechin (EGCG), which is one of the active substances in green tea. EGCG stimulates the breakdown of stored fat by activating specific enzymes involved in lipolysis, the process by which fat is released from fat cells to be used as energy. When EGCG is taken in the right dose, the body's ability to mobilize fat is optimized, and fat stores are therefore released more efficiently into free fatty acids and glycerol.

How can the burning of released fat be increased?

Once the fat stores have been released, efficient combustion of these fatty acids is also required, so that they do not return to their original depot. Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALK) is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that has been shown to play a crucial role in accelerating the oxidation step of fatty acids, and is therefore found in Trim & Tone. ALK supports fat burning by accelerating the transport of the free fatty acids into the mitochondria of the cells, where the final combustion of fatty acids takes place. To provide additional satiety, Trim & Tone contains Glucomannan, a type of soluble fiber derived from the root of the Asian plant Amorphophallus konjac. Glucomannan is one of the most potent types of fiber, as it can bind up to 50 times its own weight in liquid. Consequently, a gel-like substance forms in the stomach after ingestion of glucomannan, resulting in a longer-lasting feeling of satiety and reduced hunger, which contributes to a reduced daily calorie intake.

The second ingredient is called dehydroberberine, which is a more powerful form of berberine. How does berberine work?
